The White Mountains chapter of NEMBA exists to create a member-oriented advocacy group to maintain and develop sustainable MTB trails and promote responsible mountain biking for the entire riding community in the White Mountains. Chapter leadership is committed to supporting members with robust communication, an annual face to face meeting, scheduled group workdays and opportunities for member involvement. We’ve been building an maintaining trails in the Mount Washington Valley for over 20 years and have seen the riding community continue to grow.
The White Mountain Bicycle Coalition has recently formed with the same commitment to trails in the valley, but with a different operational plan and focus. The WMNEMBA chapter has built a robust trail network over the past 20 years and will continue to maintain and develop this trail network. WMBC has focused its energy on the gravity trails adjacent to and on Cranmore. The trails built and maintained by WMBC are a welcome addition to the area and provide diversity so that riding in the Mount Washington Valley (MWV) will appeal to a broad range of mountain bikers.
WMNEMBA will strive to communicate via its website, Facebook page, and direct email to its members and interested parties. WM NEMBA supports all disciplines of mountain biking in the MWV and will work to help promote, and advocate for, all the great riding opportunities we have here. The chapter will hold an annual Spring meeting with a posted agenda, provide advance notice, and conduct an annual Fall/Winter survey for members to develop priorities for the club. Decisions will be based on member input and budget. All meeting notes, organized trail work days and annual budgets will be posted for folks who can’t make meetings.
